Brandspace completes line-up with Land Sec coup

Brandspace has appointed former Land Securities Commercialisation Manager, Graeme Hay, as their new Venue Development Director, completing the recent shake-up which saw Paul Soanes installed as new CEO.

Graeme brings with him over 20 years of commercial and entrepreneurial experience to Brandspace, as the company looks to strengthen a venue portfolio that already boasts some of the busiest UK shopping centres and travel venues.

Having previously founded Prophet Consulting, a commercialisation company which specialises in the generation of secondary revenue across international rail systems, Hay has spent the last 15 months with Land Securities managing commercialisation activities within the Retail Business Unit. Prior to that, Hay was Head of Non-Fare Revenue on the Heathrow Express & Gatwick Express brands where he spearheaded advertising and technology innovations.

Speaking of Hay’s appointment, Brandspace CEO, Paul Soanes believes Brandspace venue partners will benefit greatly from Graeme’s commercialisation expertise, as they look to increase commercialisation revenues amidst a challenging economic backdrop: “Graeme’s appointment is a fantastic addition for Brandspace. His experience is a perfect fit for our venue strategy and for what our venue partners want to achieve. I am sure that Graeme will help us to build new, long-term venue partnerships in the air and rail travel sectors.”

The recent restructuring at Brandspace included the appointment of Andrew Keiller as Group Sales Director and Jens Tangen as Sales Director for Brands. Soanes remarks that the addition of Hay “completes a Brandspace line-up that will see us continue to dominate the out of home experiential and venue commercialisation arenas.”
